About this game

Collect Pokémon Through Sleeping!

In the world of Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon with the same sleep type as you will gather around as you catch some Zs, so discover all the various different sleep styles that Pokémon can have as you aim to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

What A Day Looks Like in Pokémon Sleep

■ When Night Falls...
It’s time to track your sleep! All you need to do is place your smart device by your pillow (don’t place your device under your pillow or blankets as it may overheat), then call it a night. You can also play using sleep data tracked via your smartwatch.

■ A New Day Dawns
By the time you wake, Pokémon will have gathered in Pokémon Sleep based on your sleep type and how long you slept for. Carry out research on these Pokémon’s sleep styles to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

■ And the Rest of the Day...
Raise Snorlax big and strong! Snorlax will grow larger by receiving Berries from the Pokémon you befriend. The more you raise Snorlax, the greater your odds will be of encountering Pokémon with rare sleep styles!

Rest Your Very Best!

■ Check Your Sleep Report
What kind of sleep did you get last night? Your sleep report contains tidbits like how long you took to fall asleep, how long you spent in different sleep stages, and whether you snored or talked in your sleep.

■ Get Support to try to Sleep Your Best
You can have Pokémon at your side even when you sleep! With features like Pokémon-inspired music to relax you into sleep, plus smart alarms that wake you when you’re in a shallow stage of sleep, Pokémon Sleep may help you to rest your very best.

■ Smartwatch Pairing
By linking with Health Connect, you can use sleep data tracked through certain smartwatches to play Pokémon Sleep.

Gameplay was smoother when I first started using it. The game requires you to collect resources, which used to be a seamless experience, but it no longer is, and has not been for a very long time. It takes longer to complete as you have to do it multiple times to be sure to collect everything, and this is particularly important if you are changing teams as you lose all uncollected resources on those changed out as well as all skills that should have but didn't trigger.

Fun and well paced, as in you don't run out of content too quickly, but progression isn't so slow that it feels impossible. New content feels like it's being added at a reasonable pace. They've also added some quality of life improvements over the course of many updates, but there's room for more, like a tagging system so I can filter a list of what Pokémon I might use rare items on and things like that. Also, not fully locking out FTP users out of buying certain items—just make them expensive!

I've been "playing" this for a year, but I haven't had the motivation to open it lately. To be honest it lacks content. It's fun for a while, but eventually just becomes repetitive and feels more like a daily chore than a game. They need to add more things to add excitement/fun to the game, and preferably not block those things with a paywall Edit: Quit for several months and came back. Nothing changed. Still lacks content, still paywalls in order to enjoy most things, still just a chore.
